Accommodation
Our contemporary styled coach house is located at Challow Farm on the outskirts of Corfe Castle nestled within a small hamlet of Challow, which lies below Challow Hill. A great location in a tranquil setting on the Isle of Purbeck.
The Coach House is entered via a wooden porch and the ground floor houses outdoor items, umbrellas, torches, boots, and shoes. We provide slippers and there are also dog towels a dog bowl and a bed. The studio living area and the bedroom are located upstairs on the first floor.
The Kitchen
The well-equipped kitchen has an oven and a four ringed hob, with storage on either side. Pots, pans and crockery and cutlery are stored in the corner cabinet and the sink has additional storage underneath.
There is also a small dish washer, microwave, above which are stored the tea, coffee, sugar, salt, and pepper. A toaster, kettle and fridge freezer are all in the kitchen. There are also several phone charger points.
The Main Sitting Room
There is a 42’’ smart TV with one set of controls, the instructions for which are in the house manual, located on the coffee table.
For additional heating you have a eReflex inset electric vivid flame effect fire, providing relaxing, mood enhancing ambience, with an authentic glowing ember bed, again with a control for the heater and the fire effect.
The seating area includes a two and a half seat sofa, cushions, a single easy chair, and a dining table with two chairs, standing lamp, pouffe, coffee table, various books, maps, and games.
The main area opposite the kitchen has two Velux windows with blinds and a double window with a linen blind. The sitting room has double doors opening out to the balcony with light silk day curtains together with thick evening curtains.
Outside Balcony
The balcony has a dining table and two light easily moveable chairs which can be used either inside or out.
Additional Beds in the Sitting Room
The Coach House has two Z beds (put me up single beds) which are top of the range for comfort and ease. These can be put up behind the sofa, if requested, at the time of booking, we also have a cot.
Bedroom
The ensuite bedroom located at the top of the stairs on the left-hand side has the option of a comfy super-king or a twin configuration. The bed has non feather duvet and pillows, bedspread, crisp linens, and cushions, draft proof black-out curtains and black-out blind.Two bedside tables and two reading lamps are situated above the headboard.
The bedroom has a chest of drawers and his and her own storage area, clothes hangers, and cupboard space.
Bathroom
The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink, towel rail and sufficient towels for numbers booked, dressing gowns, waste bin, toilet rolls, hand wash, hand cream, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, shower cap, bathmats, and a non-slip shower mat.
Private Garden
The Coach House has a private garden with a raised York paved koi carp pond garden and BBQ area.
Your private and beautifully arranged garden is located above the formal gardens at Challow Farm. Here you will find your peaceful and tranquil space, your private area with a calming koi carp pond to enjoy, with ample space for tables, chairs, 2 steamer loungers with cushions, and a parasol.
The BBQ has everything you need for a great feast as you watch the sun set over Corfe Castle.
Challow Farmhouse - Accommodation
2023 marked a change in our hospitality offering at Challow Farmhouse. We decided to be more flexible, more diverse, and therefore appeal to a wider audience. Our hospitality now comprises of three different types of accommodation, allowing us to offer better facilities for families and pets.
Breakfasts
We offer a choice of home-made breakfast, delivered to your door. You can self-cater, or visit our local villages in, or near, Corfe Castle.
The Woodlander’s Hut
Our luxury eco-hut is situated in its own private woodland garden. It has a galley kitchen, dining table and chairs, a lounge area (with a wood burning stove), a king size bed with an ensuite shower, outside loungers in a tea hut and an outside dining area.
The Gardener's Hut
Our gardener's hut is situated in a private garden setting with loungers and a dining area. Inside there is a king-size bed with an ensuite shower, a wood burning stove, a galley kitchen (with a dining table and chair) and a cosy lounge chair.
